PARAMOUNT Lands No. 2 on Jersey LPI List

KEMPTVILLE, Ontario, Nov. 30, 2004 — Following the October 2004 genetic evaluation release, 7JE442 Rock Ella PARAMOUNT-ET makes his LPI debut as the No. 2 sire. Gaining 143 LPI points at +1479 LPI, he's just a mere two points behind his littermate, Rock Ella PERIMITER, but is 255 kilograms of milk and 4 conformation points higher than PERIMITER. PARAMOUNT is +7 for conformation, +12 for feet and legs and +7 for mammary. From a production standpoint, he offers +1,231 milk, +45 protein and +55 fat (92% Rel.).

PARAMOUNT's pedigree combines perhaps the most recognizable Jersey male and female bloodlines of all time - 7JE254 Mason Boomer Sooner BERRETTA and Duncan Belle. BERRETTA, who continues to make positive genetic contributions to the breed both maternally and paternally, is still the leading sire in the breed for protein. He gained 30 LPI points and ranks just behind PARAMOUNT in third. PARAMOUNT's dam, the tremendous Duncan Belle, is scored Excellent (92) and has records to 10,931 kilograms of milk and 604 kilograms of fat. She has many Excellent progeny to date and is backed by two more Excellent dams.

Bred in Hornby, Ontario, Canada by Rock Ella Jerseys, PARAMOUNT has been in demand from the start of his A.I. career. He received extra sampling as a young sire, then enjoyed worldwide demand after graduating to active service. He's been the highest-selling proven Jersey bull at Select Sires for three consecutive years.
