Area Manager Hugh Van Hout reports on Ontario Summer Show and Sale

The sale started things off quite nicely for Select Sires Canada as Donnanview INTEGRITY Bev topped the sale at $32,000.00. Just fresh 3 weeks and a Jr. 3-Year-Old for the shows this year, she was sold by Richard Gordon (Brecin Farms) and purchased by Peter Heffering.

Another purchase by Mr. Heffering was Tomalynn INTEGRITY Denise. This Jr. 2-Year-Old for this year’s shows was due in September to DERRY and sold for $6,200.00. This fancy INTEGRITY daughter was consigned by Tom Hawman and Gerald Coughlin.

It didn't take long for Select Sires to have a presence in the show either. In the huge Intermediate Heifer class (41 in the class!) Tex-Sun-Valley ENCORE Britnee topped the class and was described by the judge as an "easy and outstanding winner" and was later pulled as one of five for Junior Champion.

Other highlights included:

*Flettdale JOLT Joyce - 5th in the Senior Heifer Class (43 in the class)
*Crovalley EMERSON Vivian - 11th Senior Heifer Class
*Green-Acres-Y ENCORE Sugar - 5th in Senior Yearling Class (35 in class)

In the milking classes a stylish INTEGRITY daughter stole the spotlight! Euroflair INTEGRITY Jasmine won the Jr. 3-Year-Old Class.
