Red-Factor EMERSON Sisters
Top Prestigious Granduc Sale

Oct. 9, 2001 — Two red factor full sisters, Granduc Jessica Emerson-ET and Granduc Judy Emerson-ET, daughters of the Ricecrest EMERSON*BL mating to popular Granduc Jewel Astre (VG-85-4YR-CAN), each brought $40,000 to top the Granduc Dispersal on Oct. 9, 2001. Ferme Leduc & Frères Ltee., Beauharnois, Quebec, have developed one of the world’s most sought red Holstein families, as evidenced by the $9469 sale average on 66 head. Most of the herd stems from the well-known Cloverlands Skylar Cherry-Red (VG-87-5YR-CAN). Ferme Charpentier, Sawyerville, Quebec, is the new owner of the two January EMERSON heifers. A milking, maternal sister to the EMERSONs also sold for $40,000.
